Hi there, well my first day of being in charge for the week was interesting. If the word interesting means completely stressful and a pain in the bum!!!!!!
The one shift runner is soooo completely stupid. i spent the first hour at work looking through all the cock ups he made over the weekend.This is the bloke who wants more responibility. I think not, as at the moment even the new starters are making less mistakes. He is a lovely bloke but he doesnt take anything seriously. this includes on a important piece of paper, writing the words " i dont know what the f**k is wrong with the paperwork tonight" I will be having words with him when i go in tomorrow ( on my day off) to get the rota sorted. My district manager in his wisdom decided that the week the boss is off and im incharge to have me out of store for 2 days. Thursday i have a managers meeting and sunday i have got to help out at another store to see how the new ways of working are implemented. So that means i wont be instore until friday so have to go in tomorrow and sort out the rota as otherwise it wont be giving people enough notice about what shifts they are working next week. Oh the joys of management.
On a plus side im off out tonight to have a meal with a friend. so that should be a great evening, and saturday im only working half a day as id booked the afternoon off to go to a wedding, before i realised that was the week the boss wanted off. Again more time out of store but that should be ok as i will be there to do all the paperwork etc in the morning.
More good news is that my wristband for greenbelt arrived this morning, im so looking forward to going, it should be a great weekend.

Only 22 days until i break up for my hols and then im off for 2 and a half weeks. I so cant wait. Its going to be a manic next couple of weeks at work as boss is on holiday for a week, then back for a week, then off on holiday for another week. I feel really guilty as she origionally wanted two weeks off together but i had already booked to go away to New Wine. Then alas that holiday was cancelled so she could have had both weeks off together after all. It also means that im in charge at work and the second week she is off, i am in charge of a completely new store policy change and need to get it all in order on my own. That weekend she is off is when i also start my holiday so the store will have no management for that weekend.
The first week of my holiday i am taking part in the Uk tour on ship of fools. The second week i am off to Greenbelt for the last weekend of hols and hopefully can also afford to spend a couple of days in Scotland with some ship folk.
I told you last month about my mom being ill and needing an operation. Well today is my dads turn to have his op. Dad is the only driver so he had to get the bus to the hospital this morning, he refused to pay for a taxi as he says they rip you off. He wouldnt let me go with him, so at 7am he set off on the bus. He had to be there at 8.20am. I rang at 12pm to see what was happening and they said he hadnt had the op yet. 40mins later they rang to say he as had the op and is about to make his way home on the bus again. I know it was a short op of about 10-20mins, but letting him go home that quick is madness. He should be home in a bit and then he is going to spend the day in bed relaxing.
Mom stayed up until he had to go out, so she could see him before he went. So at mo she is resting also.

I was meant to be meeting up with a friend on the tuesday night for a meal, but as i was off work we decided to change it to the wednesday. It was my day off which was nice as although i had stopped being sick i still didnt feel 100% so i decided to cancel meeting up with friend again. I felt really bad about it as i havnt seen her for a few weeks, but i thought it was better to stay in and relax as i had a manic rest of the week planned. I ended up being on the computer as per usual, but i did get to watch another movie. "Tuesdays with morrie" nice film, worth watching.
Thursday i was back at work and then in the evening it was our staff night out. I decided to break away from my usual flat footwear and put on a pair of heals. Oh how my feet hurt. my toe is still swollen from the other week. I have stupid potato feet anyway. They look like potatos with little sausages stuck at the end of them, hense the name potato feet 
They are quite cute though honest lol
Anyway it was a good night but i ended up drinking too much archers and tequilla. It wasnt until the other day that i finally found out that you dont spell it tecilla so i am pleased.
Friday was my day off so paid in the cheque from the dry cleaners ( i actually got a full refund for the cost of the outfit) and then helped dad with the weekly shop. That evening was the brum meet. It really was a fantastic night, and everyone seemed to click with eachother really well. I did find out though one of the lads there new me as he had come into my shop on the day i was wearing my pjs <blush> ( see previous entry for info on why) I also got a fantastic cd of another lad there "rufus wainwright" absolutly fantastic cd. It may have to go into my all time favs list. I lost track of time and managed to make my last train home with 10seconds to spare.
Saturday i didnt have to go into work until 3.30pm as i had to do a stock take once the shop closed at 10pm. I didnt think i would get home until after 1.30am but boss no longer had to help out at another store so she helped us. We managed to get out at about 12.30am even though one of the scanner guns broke again so i had to read out about 200 barcodes to be typed in , while the others carried on scanning.
Im off to work again tonight for another evening shift. so i had better have some lunch and get ready.

Ive had a poorly tummy now for a few days and yesturday i called in work as i was sick just before getting ready for work. I think the mexican meal had something to do with it ,but i hadnt been feeling well for a couple of days, so im not sure. Last night i finally managed to watch a soppy movie which id been waiting to watch for ages. We never had it in at work, due to a dispute with one of out distributers. Its all sorted now but for some reason that was the only title that we never got. Its called Bounce. It stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck, its really good and it has some great lines in there, like that he needs her in his life as he wants someone who he can get movie advice from and he doesnt have a last call of the day. Normally that kind of line would have be crying like a woosy girl, but alas maybe im becoming wise to all that soppy stuff. Probably doesnt help that when watching my fav prog jack and jill the other week i heard a line that as been used on me, when i thought it was a genuine thing from them, but alas it wasnt. Remember guys, us girls watch soppy stuff. so if your going to take a line from one of them, make sure the person your saying it to hasnt watch the program that it has some from
This week ive been trying to sort out the brum meet on ship of fools. It was another shipmates idea to have one, so i hope she doesnt think that i have taken over with the plans of it. Im also trying to get sorted the choc meet which should be happening at the end of october, It should be a great laugh and im looking forward to it.

hi there, well wednesday arrived and i managed to get a bit of a lie in, which i had hoped for as i was so tired after the weekend. I had a nice relaxing morning, then in the afternoon i had to head to town to get some things. they included a birthday pressie for my mom and a wedding pressie for a wedding im going to at the end of the month. i think i managed to buy the most heaviest items possible and so i couldnt be bothered to walk back up to the bus station so i treated myself to a taxi. Plus my toe is still hurting so im trying not to walk too much on it. wednesday evening i just had a nice relaxing evening in. thursday i was at work and the evening was meant to be our staff night out , but we couldnt get any cover from another store so it is now next thursday. It should be a good night. Instead i rented a movie " catch me if you can" its quite good, i do like films based on true stories.
Friday i was also working the day shift and then it was a mad rush down town to get some stuff as brother, his fiance and my neice were coming on saturday. So i managed to get 2 little plastic chairs and a little table, bargain at £7 for all three. I also popped to the early learning centre to get her some wooden building blocks and got a free wooden jigsaw which was a bonus. I also got her a echo microphone and managed to get a candyfloss maker in the sale at argos. ( ok the last one was more for me as she is not even 2 yet) hee hee but im sure she will learn to love it 
Saturday was a lovely day. i even helped my brother jet wash the slabs in the back garden and the conservetery windows. That machine is very theraputic. I did make the mistake of wearing my slippers as i didnt think i would get that wet. mmmmmmmm , but now they have been in the washer and are drying as we speak.
Ok i bet your wondering why i put that last word in my title. Im trying to use 3 words all starting with the same letter, which are about things ive been up to. I dont actually have a prominant bottom jaw, but i did show my party trick at work the other day where i can balance pens on my chin. Anyway i will leave you with that image and will continue another day.
