I hope you have all had a really nice christmas.

Christmas eve was good. I had my driving lesson then only had to work a 5 hour shift. I wore my santa outfit, and it was absolutely boiling, but it was a good laugh. I think i may have horrified some young kiddies though, when they saw santa outside having a ciggie lol. I got home about 8pm ish and got straight into my pjs. I was going to pop to the pub, but i really couldnt be bothered. So i just spent the evening with my parents. Over the last few years we have opened our pressies about 12.30am. I got some really lovely things this year.

I also got various text messages throughout the day to wish me a happy christmas which was nice. I thought it was really funny though that the first two, one was from Uganda and the other one was from Dudley lol

Things didnt go quite to plan today. First of all my dad woke up about 10am ish he was really poorly, being sick etc. I then fell back to sleep and woke up at 2.30pm i was really gutted as i feel i totally wasted the first part of my day. Dad usually cooks the christmas lunch, but as he was poorly, me and mom cooked it. I then went to have a long relaxing bath, when my brother arrived. He was also poorly and also was being sick. He was meant to be working nights but had to call in sick. It was just me and mom to eat christmas lunch, so there was quite a bit of food left over. My nephew rang about 7pm to say merry christmas and to thank us for his pressies. He also hadnt eaten his christmas lunch as he had also spent the day being sick

Tomorrow im back at work. 11-7 but i should be able to leave at 6pm. My brother is back round tomorrow with my nephew. Unless they are still poorly. Hopefully everyone is feeling better by tomorrow so we can all enjoy the day together. Im then off for 3 days which im really looking forward to. My nieces will be over on saturday, so that will be really nice to see them.

My two year old niece rang me at work on christmas eve. She was meant to say " merry christmas auntie " but instead she just kept saying "Stickers". Aparantly as soon as she arrived she was asking for me, as i have a sticker drawer in my room, and she really likes putting stickers in books and anywhere else she can think of. My mom said she didnt know where they were, so she insisted on that she phoned me, so i could get them for her. Awwww

Anyway i had better get to bed and i hope that i dont get this sick bug that seems to be going around. Everyone at works as also had it apart from me, so i really hope that i dont.

I know this is going back a day but i forgot to mention it before i put in the last entry. I was off sunday. My nephew stayed over saturday night, so it was nice that i was able to spend a bit of time with him on the sunday also. The little darling woke me up at 8.45am though. I was trying to get him to help me write my christmas cards, but he was having non of it. I was also trying to get him into Dogtanian and the three muskehounds but alas he was more interested in playing with the dog and the playstation. His mom picked him up about 1pm so then i did my ironing, wrapped up my last couple of christmas pressies and wrote my christmas cards. I then decided to have a afternoon nap, and woke up at 5.30pm. So again had a mad rush to get showered and dressed so i could get to church for 6pm. I got there for 6.15pm. It was the Carols by Candlelight service so the church was packed. They even had to put seats in the foyer. That is where i had to sit. For the last 10 plus years i have always sang in this service. Usually with the singing team, but last year as i had work commitements i sang in the choir. I thought that would take up less time, but they still threw in a last minute solo the week before the service. It was nice to be asked though, so i didnt mind really. This year was the first time i wasnt doing anything at all as i really couldnt fit in the time to get the practices. It was really wierd not being part of it, but it was wonderful to be able to watch it. After the service it was a mad rush to try and hand out my christmas cards. Giving out cards should be a wonderful thing, but it ends up being so manic, as you have to try and find everyone to give them their card. I was pleased that i managed to give out all but six of them. i just sat at the back of the church and gave them out as they walked past. An excellent idea i thought

I admit it. I cry at anything. Give me a RSPCA advert or a soppy movie and im there, with tears and everything.

Over this last year though, i thought id gotten over it. As much as i love soppy movies, ive watched so many, i can sort of predict how its going to end and so prepare myself as it were. Tonight though the tears flowed big time <blush> I had rented a movie called "A walk to remember". I thought it was going to be your usual romantic teen flick. Popular guy ends up falling in love with nerdy girl. Think "Shes all that" or any other film starring the lovely Freddie Prinze Junior. It was all going well, it was actually a good story line and i was really enjoying it. I estimated that they end up falling in love, happy ending blah blah blah you know, the usual stuff. Then out of no where the girl states that she is dying and there is nothing that can be done for her. I know your thinking it was obvious, but it really wasnt. It even had a really good christian element to the film also, without it being too cheesy. Another shocker!!! I wont spoil the ending but any girls who like soppy movies and even the lads who dont mind a good chick flick, you should rent it out pronto, its really good.

Anyway tomorrow ive got to pick up my glasses, i was meant to get them the other day, but i ran out of time. I have also got to take back a scanner i brought in the sale. It was £130 reduced to £49.99 I was thinking what a bargain until i got home and we realised it was for slides and negatives only. Im working 12-8 tomorrow so if i dont have time to take it back, im going to atleast ring the store, so they dont think im really dodgy and have used it all weekend and now i want my money back. I can always take it back tuesday as i finish work at 3pm and i have to be in for 7am AARGGHHHH. The christmas sale is starting early so ive got to make sure everything is priced by 12pm. Im gutted ive got to be in that early as im meeting up with my school friends for our annual christmas drink tomorrow night. As im at work till 8pm i wont be able to meet them till about 9pm and will have to leave by about 10.30pm if i want any sleep at all before i have to be at the bus stop at 6.30am

Another year wiser? hmmmm probably not, but i did have a really nice birthday. I cant believe im now 29. First thing my brother popped round with a couple of cards and some money. I love getting birthday cards but the fact that i get one with auntie on it, is wonderful. Ok gushy moment over now

I had a parcel arrive this morning. It wasnt a birthday gift, but some of the folks from scotland sent me a wonderful package of minature bottles of baileys and a large box of belgium chocolates. It was a wonderful suprise and was very happy to receive them.

I had my driving lesson at 12.30 for an hour, then i had to pop into town for my eye test. Aparantly although my eye sight hasnt changed much, my glasses wernt the correct perscription, so it was a good job i went. My new glasses are really nice and i have paid the extra to have special glass in them so that they can also be used as sunglasses. I have to go in on friday to pay for them and hopefully they should be ready for then also. I then had to run a couple of errands. So i brought a sandwich for my lunch, and pottered around town. I have to make a christmassy outfit for work to wear on christmas eve and boxing day. Do you know how hard it is to find white fluffy material at christmas? I thought it would be really easy, but alas i couldnt find any at all. I did manage to buy some wool though. Andy from work always has these really cool scarfs and i found out his mom knits them, so she is also making me one.

I got back home about 4pm and ate my sandwich. At 8pm i was meeting some friends in my local for a drink. My single friends couldnt make it, so it was me and three couples, but it was a really good night. I broke away from drinking my usual Baileys as they sell another one of my fave drinks in the pub. Cherry B. Yes i know its a bit of a old ladies drink, but i really like it.

Tomorrow im back at work in the day, then its my housegroup christmas party in the evening. Its the usual bring and share event, so will have to think about what to take with me when im at work tomorrow.

I spoke to the church administrator today. He said the letters had been sent out and should arrive tomorrow. Unfortunatly i didnt get the job. They said it was subject to references and if they dont work out, they will be back in touch. But i cant see there being any probs with the references. Im really disapointed, but im better than i thought i would be. At the end of the day i want to be where God wants me to be. So i will keep on searching for jobs and praying about them. There is one other job going at the moment, based nearer to home, so i will see what comes of that one.
