YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

7th attempt and finally i pass. I am sooooooo relieved. I was amazed though that i only got 8 minors (more than 16 and you automatically fail) as i thought i did a really bad drive. I stalled twice. The first time was on a hill and a motorbike nearly went into the back of me. He also said i did over the speed limit on a open road. Didnt go fast enough on another one and went too much in the middle of the road when there were parked cars. Apart from that a perfect drive lol

Amazinly i dont have a major urge to drive. Im just glad that ive passed so can drive if i need to. I still havnt had chance to go out on my own yet but i think i will wait for a quiet time on the roads.

and then i did……….

Ive noticed lately that im tending to blog once a week or so and trying to cram in everything that ive done that week. I really need to get into the habit of blogging when i can think of interesting things to put so that i dont keep having really long posts.
That said here is another long post <oops>

On saturday JT was round at a friends house helping them do up their home. They have been in Italy over the last year and now back in Sheffield. They are a month away from becoming parents so they are trying to get their house all sorted before baby arrives. I managed to get a bit of a lie in which was really needed. Saturday afternoon we did some DIY around our home. We put some shelves in the cupboard at the bottom of the stairs. It is now the official games cupboard which looks loads better. We also put up a couple of pictures and the hall mirror which have been waiting to go up for ages and we also managed to finish off some washing and housework. Saturday evening it was a 60s birthday party for a man at church. Their house is wonderful and they are such a great couple aswell. This was shown by the amount of people who was there. It was a great night and i had the fun of trying to walk back to the car with my stileto healed boots on in the snow. In my defence it wasnt snowing before the party. Saturday was also my parents wedding anniversary. We gave them their present when we was down a last weekend. We had got their card all ready plus the card for my friends babys dedication. We were unable to make it as we couldnt get to walsall 2 weekends in a row. We put the cards in the back of the car ready to post and found them again on monday morning. So hopefully they didnt get them too late.
On sunday i had to be at church for 9am as i was on the under 5’s team at church. After church it was cluster lunch. Again it was really nice and i really do look forward to them. We were then home for a couple of hours and then we were out again for J’s birthday. A few of us were bowling and then going to Bitz & Pizza for tea. It was a really good meal and E had made a fantastic chocolate cake (it wasnt actually a cake as such, but cant remember what she called it).
Back to work on monday and then after work i played badminton. It was a good game again and we produced sweat for the 2nd week in a row hee hee
A while ago we put our names down at church to provide accomodation for folks who need it who are visiting the church. Tonight, wednesday and thursday night we have a female vicar staying at ours. She should be arriving about 9pm ish so will have a quick tidy round when i get in from work. She is at a 3 day conference at church and amazingly when i was a wedding back in Walsall a couple of weeks ago i found out that one of my pastors will also be at this same conference. His parents only live in Chesterfield so he didnt need to stay at ours.
So its shaping up to be another busy week. Id love a week off to do absolutly nothing but id probably end up being busier than usual as id fill it with all the things i dont get chance to do in a usual week.

I dont think im meant to drive!!!!

Last friday i was all booked in to have my driving test at 8.40am. As this was going to be my 7th <blush> attempt i really wanted to make sure i passed. That morning there was snow but as we are quite high up i wasnt sure if there would be much snow by the test centre so i gave them a ring. The bloke was just having a drive round to check the roads so i had to ring back about 20past. As it would then be only 20mins to the time of my test we decided to make our way to the test centre. We were about half was there when i rang back to be told that the roads in places were too slippy so they were cancelling the first tests of the day. I have got another one booked for free though and that is next friday on the 10th March.
Me and JT were both finishing work about lunch time on friday as we were heading to my parents for the weekend. We were going to be earlier at my parents than we all thought so we decided to go to the denby factery shop in Derby to get a new dinner service. We managed to get everything we wanted apart from the mugs all at 75% off which was fab.
We got to my parents about 6.30ish and spent a nice relaxing evening with them. On saturday we didnt do much as we were at a wedding at 3pm. It was a couple of friends of mine from Walsall. The lad is someone i mentioned a while back as the lad i went out with for a week. We are brilliant as friends but both realised as a couple we were rubbish lol. The service was lovely and Rachel looked stunning in her dress. They had a colour theme of a shiny aqua. Not sure if that gives it justice, but it really was competely stunning. The service was at a beautifull hall in Birmingham so that was a bit of a treck to get to, but it was a great reception. The speaches were a little dodgy but it was a beautiful day.
On the sunday we made it to the 9am service and then spent the rest of the day back at my parents, which was really nice to relax and spend time with them both.
On monday it was badminton as usual. For some reason we decided to be more enigetic and all managed to spent the 45mins darting round the court and all started to get a bit sweaty. It felt great though and really felt like we had done a proper sports session. I dont know if it was my competitive side as i was playing with two blokes.
When i got home JT was making pancakes with his youth team which was great. He usually does savory ones first so he generally makes a huge vat of chilli. I had this with some rice and then a couple of sweet pancakes for a pudding.
On tuesday we both worked a half day as we were going to a house auction. After that we decided to pop to Nottingham to pick up the denby mugs which they didnt have in Derby. I also managed to pick up the rest of the beads i needed from hobbycraft. Im making my own napkin rings and rang out of beads. They had sold out twice in the Sheffield branch so it was good i was able to get them from Nottingham. On the way home we went out for tea at ChaCha’s, its the Indian all you can eat buffet. Its usually about £8 each in a evening but someone gave us these vouchers so it was a £5 each plus a free drink each.
Last night JT was helping a friend with some DIY and as i had nothing planned i thought it was a great opportunity to get some housework done. I only managed to clean upstairs as i needed to sort out tea and also needed to watch ER that was taped on monday night. Excellent episode as usual.
Tonight we are having a relaxing evening in and then tomorrow night we are having tea at a couple from our cluster’s house. They are then at a meeting at church and we are babysitting their 6 year old boy so that should be fun.
