Its been really nice, if tiring being back at work this week. I was getting far too used to having a bit of a lie in and pottering in my pjs till lunchtime. I havnt been able to get back into going to bed early yet though so im tired now ive reached friday, but am looking for a bit of a lie in tomorrow.
Wedneday i got my Operation date come through. Im due at the hospital next Tuesday teatime to have a blood thinning injection and then i go in for my operation on Wednesday morning at 7.30am. Atleast i will be asleep for the 6 hours i need to starve myself before the op ha ha.
All being well i will be home the following day. Jono has taken a week and a bit off and my parents are going to arriving saturday which will be really nice to spend some time with them. It was decided they would come up once im out of hospital so we can spend more time together rather than just for a couple of hours a day and then they go back to mine with not much to do.
Right better get back to doing some work.
I am enjoying having the time to update this a bit more.

First of all thanks for the comments wishing me well. They are much appreciated.
New Years Eve we had planned to have a few friends round for a meal, nothing major just a nice quiet evening with food and a couple of games etc. We had to make the decision to cancel as we wasnt sure how well i was going to be. In the end a couple of friends of ours invited us round for tea and then we left about 10.30 to spend the last bit of 2007 relaxing on the sofa.
2008 has been a bit of a strange one so far as i wasnt due back to my job till the 21st (the joys of working at the university) and couldnt get anything else with the agency as i wasnt sure when my operation to remove my Gallbladder was going to be. Its also been a bit of a pain as i wasnt sure, as im agency if they would want me back knowing i would have to be off between 2-5 weeks. I decided with my agency that we wouldnt ring my job until id had my pre op so we could then give them an idea of dates. My pre op was on the 15th. Work have been brilliant and were happy for me to go back on the 21st, have the time off i need and then go back once im better, which has been a huge relief and answer to prayer.
In total i was off for 5 and a half weeks. Most of the time i felt well enough to work so it was a bit of a pain that i couldnt. My house was kept lovely and tidy though and the cats enjoyed lots of sofa and bed time. (when we arnt in or once we are in bed they are only allowed to be in the kitchen and outside as they send to bring in lots of birds/mice/frogs dead or alive) The kitchen is big though and they even have some stairs to play on. It less hassle to only have one room to disinfect ha ha .
I also enjoyed lots of cheesy TV. I love Diagnosis murder (Dick Van Dyke reminds me facially of my old pastor from Walsall) and enjoyed the repeats of series 1 of Ugly Betty.
I havnt been able to do loads but its been nice to go out to some friends for a couple of meals and get to choir and church a couple of times. There has been loads of stuff we have had to cancel or say we cant go to though as we havnt been sure how well i would be or if i would be in hospital by that point.
I was pleased i managed to finally go swimming the other day though and have been getting some excercise going for some short walks and carrying the hoover up 2 flights of stairs (only on good days though)
The one good thing that came out of being in hospital is that i have lost just over a stone which is brilliant (not my ideal way of losing it though) but its nice to be back on track with the weight loss.
Jono has been an absolute star and even came to visit me twice a day in hospital. He has also been working really hard to has been shattered but still really supportive which is amazing.

Once i got to the hospital the pain was unbearable and i was literally screaming in pain. I told Jono that if labour was worse than this then we are definatly adopting. They finally found a vein to put morphien(spell) in my arm which although didnt take away the pain helped me relax a bit. They were about to do an ultrasound but i told them id had one on sunday so they checked that and found i had Gallstones. One of them had gone into my bile duct and blocked my pancreas, causing pancreatitis. My amalaise(spell) for you doctors etc was over 2000 which they said was really high.
I got moved to a different hospital at 3am as they specialise more in Gallbladders. Im glad they did as its also only about a 10min drive from my house which was better for Jono visiting.
My parents managed to get the dog into kennels and came up for a few days which was fantastic and really good to see them.
It got to the 23rd December and as i was eating a little bit and walking around i was convinced they were going to let me home. When they told me i would still be in on Christmas day i got really upset, but knew i was in the right place also. The other women in my room was lovely and Jono laughed when he found out we got told off the one night for keeping the other patients awake with our chatting <blush>
In the end they said i could go home for a couple of hours on Christmas day.
Jono went to church Christmas morning and got a couple of invites for Christmas lunch. Because of this i decided not to visit home until the afternoon so atleast Jono wouldnt have to cook and he would be able to have some company for half the day and then spend the other half with me. The hospital staff were really sweet on Christmas day. They brought all the patients presents. I got a boots gift set. They were even going round seeing if anyone wanted a glass of brandy. I decided to order a small Christmas lunch but was gutted when i realised Turkey with the trimmings didnt include veg, so i ended up with a small slice of turkey a tiny ball of stuffing and a tiny little sausage & bacon ha ha.
When i got home i got a cuddle off the cats and then we opened our presents. I hadnt had chance to wrap Jono’s so he got all his in carrier bags. He didnt mind though. It was lovely being home but really wierd knowing i was only visiting and by 8.30 we left to go back to the hospital where i got back in my pjs and back into bed.
I finally was allowed home on the 28th.
Jono’s parents came for boxing day and once Jono had fed them he came to the hospital with his mom which was really nice and i laughed when i found out his Grandad kept trying to shoot George with his walking stick.
On the 29th we were due to go to York to Jackie & Pete’s wedding. We were absolutly gutted not to be able to go but realised that we had to cancel everything over Christmas and New Year as i wouldnt be well enough to travel. It has been great to see their pics though and they both looked stunning.
Right i think thats enough for one post and i still start January next time

About every month i have been getting really bad pains. Some of you will know that i havnt been very well for a while and been having lots of trouble with my stomach etc. The previous sunday id been to the hospital (so much nicer as its really quiet and easier to park). I had to go to have a ultrasound to check if there was any problems that they hadnt spotted before ie gallstones etc.
*warning* If you are tickled stomached dont read on *warning*
Anyway i woke up on the following Thurday planning to tidy round before going to work. My plan was to get everything done apart from hooving which i would do on the Friday morning before work. I got to work about 10am and by 10.30 the pain in my stomach started up. I put it down to going out for lots of meals over the previous two weeks and generally doing too much. The pain usually goes after an hour or so once i have had some painkillers and gavascon. There has only been one other time where its lasted about 3 hours so when the pain didnt go away i thought it would be the same as that occasion. I finished work at 3pm and was still in pain when i got home. I ended up having a sleep and when i woke up the pain had gone a bit so i cleaned the bathroom. It got to about 6pm and i started feeling really sick. Jono had been in the house about 15minutes when i was sick for the first time. We ended up ringing my mom to get some advice (in the way only moms can help) she suggested we ring the out of hours doctor. They said the doctor would ring back but we ended up having to ring them again as the next time i was sick there was some blood. They decided to send an ambulance to take me to hospital. While waiting in the hall for the ambulance Jono was very sweet and was rubbing my back as i was in so much pain at this point. Charlie kept leaning through the bannister and trying to touch my back aswell which was very adorable lol.

Well my plan to start wibloging more in 2008 hasnt really worked but better late than never.
At the end of November both me and Jono thought that December wasnt looking like it would be very busy but amazing as the month went on more and more things got filled into the calender. I even celebrated my birthday. I cant believe im 33 already. I didnt have a party this year but it was really nice going out for a meal with Jono and then i had a couple of Baileys at home while i made Jono watch Baby Boom. (I love that film).
On the 18th December i had my work Christmas do from about 3pm and then after that met up with my old work mates at BT for what was meant to be one drink which turned into three. It was really lovely catching up with them all.
On the 19th it was my small group Christmas meal which again was lovely and lots of nice food was eaten. It was also going to be the last small group as our small group and cluster was ending so it was good to have a nice meal together.
I was breaking up from work that friday and straight after work i was catching the train to go to my parents and then Jono was coming down the saturday morning. We had made plans to have an early Christmas with my parents, to spend time with my nephew and on the sunday meet some friends for coffee, go to church and then have lunch at my favourite restaurant in Walsall with some other friends. None of this happened though
